Article 44

Swearing in of members of the State Government

   (1) Prior to assuming office, the State Governor must take the following oath before the State Parliament, whilst taking the hand of its President: “I swear to respect the constitution and all the laws of the State faithfully and to perform my duty to the best of my ability and conscience. So help me God.”
   (2) Prior to assuming office, the other members of the State Government must take the same oath before, the State Parliament, whilst taking the hand of the State Governor.
